1. Royal Mansour Hotel (Marrakech)

Why stay there?
The Royal Mansour is undoubtedly the most iconic luxury hotel in Marrakech. Its concept immediately won us over: rather than traditional guest rooms, the hotel consists of about fifty private riads spread across 5 hectares of gardens, reminiscent of a small medina. Zellige tiles, tadelakt, carved woodwork… every detail reflects the craftsmanship of Morocco’s finest artisans.
We were also impressed by the pool, the 2,500 m² spa, and the gourmet restaurants run by Michelin-starred chefs. If you’re dreaming of an unforgettable stay at one of the country’s most prestigious destinations, this is the place to book.

2. Riad Relais & Châteaux Hotel in Fez

Our review
A member of the Relais & Châteaux network, this riad is one of the most beautiful properties in the old medina of Fez. It is a Hispano-Moorish palace, laid out around four patios, where Arab-Andalucian architecture blends with the Moroccan art of living. In the Andalusian courtyard, beneath the molded ceilings and near the illuminated fountain, musicians sometimes play the oud.
We also had dinner at Restaurant Gayza, the riad’s fine-dining restaurant. Chef Lalla Abida serves Moroccan cuisine based on a tradition passed down from mother to daughter for several generations, paired with Moroccan or French wines, all set to the backdrop of Arab-Andalucian music. This restaurant is also featured in our selection of the best places to eat in Fez.

3. Les Jardins de la Médina Hotel (Marrakech)

Why stay there?
We absolutely lovedthe Hôtel Les Jardins de la Médina, a lush oasis tucked away in the Kasbah, just a few minutes from the El Badi Palace. Housed in a former princely residence, it combines Moroccan charm with top-notch comfort. The rooms overlook flower-filled patios, while the pool, surrounded by palm trees, is the perfect spot to take a break in the middle of the day.
Add to that a beautiful spa and a restaurant that brings out the best in local flavors: in our opinion, this is one of the most harmonious spots in Marrakech—elegant without being ostentatious, authentic and contemporary at the same time.

4. Riad Dar Saba Hotel – Saba’s House (Tangier)

Our review
In the heart of Tangier’s legendary Kasbah, this riad surprised us with its highly original artistic concept: each room pays homage to a famous artist connected to the history of this international city. Ours was dedicated to Antoni Gaudí, with its colorful mosaics and organic shapes reminiscent of Park Güell. The tone is set right from the lobby: a central fountain, colorful furniture, a library of antique books, and a piano bar.
We also loved the hearty breakfast featuring local products, served on the panoramic terrace overlooking the rooftops of the medina, the mountains, and the sea. A luxury boutique hotel that’s both authentic and artistic, nestled in the heart of a traditional neighborhood… it really makes you want to extend your stay!

Our review
Located across from Lalla Meryem Beach on the Corniche, the Four Seasons is the premier destination for a luxury oceanfront stay in Casablanca. Set in lush greenery, Moroccan craftsmanship (zellige tiles, copper chandeliers, geometric patterns) blends seamlessly with refined furnishings and high-end amenities. Our favorite moment: breakfast overlooking the waves, featuring specialties like msemen and khliî.

6. Fairmont Tazi Tangiers Palace Hotel (Tangier)

Our review
This palace charmed us with its history and natural setting. Formerly the residence of the sultan’s advisor, built in the 1920s, it stands amid a forest of century-old eucalyptus trees and Arab-Andalusian gardens. The original Hispano-Moorish architecture blends seamlessly with decidedly contemporary comfort, and the decor combines the work of local artisans with meticulously restored antique elements. In the lounges as well as in our room, every detail is worth taking the time to appreciate.
Perched on a hilltop, the hotel offers a peaceful setting and a splendid view of the medina of the “Pearl of the North.” We highly recommend this hotel for experiencing Moroccan-style luxury in a historic setting.

7. St. Regis La Bahia Blanca Resort (Tetouan)

Our review
As the first St. Regis property in Morocco, this resort—developed by Eagle Hills and designed by Smallwood—is, in our view, a benchmark for luxury hospitality in the Tetouan region. Conceived as a vast private riad, it pays homage to the region’s Andalusian heritage with its intimate courtyards and Mediterranean gardens. The white architecture contrasts beautifully with the blue of the sea, while the interior color palette features whites, neutral tones, and blues accented with bronze.
Wrought-ironwork, zellige tiles, and tadelakt finishes showcase local craftsmanship. Our favorite spot: the library, with its beautiful art books, colonnades, and white equestrian statues. Add the palm grove by the pool and a collection of works by local artists, and you have the perfect retreat to recharge in Tamuda Bay.

8. Palais Faraj Suites & Spa Hotel (Fes)

Our review
This tastefully restored 19th-century palace is one of our favorite spots in Fez. It has preserved the architectural features of a traditional riad while offering modern comforts. The Art Deco decor blends beautifully with the zellige tiles and the ceilings adorned with star-shaped moldings.
The staff is exceptionally attentive, and guests are welcomed with tea and Moroccan pastries in the stunning central patio. Breakfast is served on the panoramic terrace, accompanied by Arab-Andalucian music, with a spectacular view of the city, the hills, and the Borj Sud Tower. A truly relaxing stay, as if outside of time.

Our review
Located in the heart of the medina, Riad Dar Lys is, in our opinion, one of the best places to stay in Fez, and our experience there was flawless. This architectural gem blends Moroccan tradition with contemporary touches, all beneath magnificent carved wooden ceilings. The welcome, complete with mint tea and freshly squeezed orange juice, immediately sets the tone.
Everything in our room was beautifully appointed: modern furniture, intricately carved wooden cabinets, hand-embroidered pillowcases, and works of art. Special mention goes to the tadelakt bathroom and the rooftop terrace, which is perfect for enjoying the view and the pool.

Located right on the waterfront, The View Agadir lives up to its name: its panoramic views of the Atlantic are exceptional. 12. Sofitel Tamuda Bay Beach & Spa Hotel (Tetouan)

Our review
The Sofitel Tamuda Bay draws its inspiration from the glamour of the French Riviera in the 1950s and the vibrant colors of the Fauvist painters. Klein blue and yellow dominate the contemporary and elegant decor. Our 44-square-meter room featured a chaise longue facing the pool and the sea—a real treat for enjoying the view.
We also enjoyed the direct access to M’diq Beach, the spa, breakfast in front of the large floor-to-ceiling windows, and the attentive service from the staff. The welcome snack (a banana-chocolate drink, vanilla macarons, and homemade chocolate gazelle horns) was a lovely surprise.
