Riads in Rabat-our opinion
Rabat is a city of contrasts, with a serene atmosphere and a rich heritage of preserved medina, imperial remains and modern districts.
Morocco’s peaceful capital, the city cultivates a kind of discretion that is reflected in its riads: intimate, elegant addresses where you can sample the Moroccan art of living in all its subtlety. Our selection takes you mainly to the narrow streets of the medina, but if you prefer more modern options, find our article on the best hotels in Rabat, with several options in more contemporary neighborhoods.
1. Hotel Riad Meftaha (3 stars)

Why stay there?
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Riad Meftaha: its decor features Moroccan craftsmanship with its zellige mosaics. Don’t miss the typical Moroccan breakfast, which includes msemen pancakes with honey, mint tea and dried fruit. All served on the central patio, where the morning birdsong resounds.
We warmly recommend this establishment for its value for money and attentive service. It’s a veritable haven of peace, close to the medina and the Kasbah des Oudayas. Please note, however, that the riad is located close to a mosque and in a lively neighborhood. Remember to bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise at night.
