Plane, train, car… Here are our practical tips and options for getting to Casablanca, depending on your travel preferences.

How to get to Casablanca: quick answer
There are several options for getting to Casablanca:
- By plane: Mohammed V Airport, 27 km from the city center, is a gateway for visitors from all over the world, with 96 international destinations served daily – see flights
- By train: the ONCF rail network serves several stations in Casablanca, linking it efficiently to all the other cities of Maroc with high-speed lines (Al-Boraq) and conventional trains.
- By car: large white cabs provide connections between the towns of Maroc; the well-developed motorway network facilitates access by car; you can also rent a car.
- By bus: CTM, the national bus company, offers comfortable, air-conditioned and safe bus journeys.
To travel between Mohammed V Airport and downtown Casablanca, opt for a private transfer or a VTC ride.

Option 1: by plane
- Casablanca is easily accessible by air thanks to its international airport located around 27 km south-west of the city center.
- Numerous airlines offer direct flights to Casablanca from many cities in Maroc, Europe and the rest of the world – 96 international destinations are served daily to date.
- It is possible to find cheaper flights to Rabat or Tangier. If so, don’t forget that Rabat is only 1 hour by conventional train from Casablanca, and Tangier 2 hours 15 minutes by high-speed train.
- Once there, you can reach downtown Casablanca by train from the airport to Casa Voyageurs station in just 30 minutes, by cab or VTC, or by private transfer.

Option 2: by train
- The train is a comfortable and convenient option for getting to Casablanca.
- Casablanca is well served, with direct connections from several major cities on Maroc.
- The journey takes about 1 hour from the stations at Rabat, the kingdom’s capital, 2 hours 15 minutes by high-speed train from Tangiers and 2 hours 30 minutes from the station at Marrakech.
- Casablanca’s train stations – Casa Voyageurs, Casa Oasis, Casa Port, Ain Sebaâ – are located in all 4 corners of the city, close to major attractions and connected to local transport.

Option 3: by car
Travelling to Casablanca by car is the option that allows you to travel at your own pace and explore the kingdom’s landscapes. The city is well connected to the main roads and motorways of Maroc.
- From Rabat, about 1 hour’s drive
- From Marrakech, less than 3h
Please note that downtown Casablanca has few free parking spaces, and traffic is very heavy. We recommend that you use the following parking lots You can also use the tramway, little red cab or TVC to get to the center of town. Visit the city’s website, which lists paid parking facilities here.

Option 4: by bus
Bus companies, like CTM for example, offer long-distance journeys with comfort and air-conditioning. Not as fast as the train, but sometimes useful if you’re coming from a town not served by rail. Most buses arrive and depart from Ouled Ziane station above the Mers Sultan district of Casablanca.
