This is undoubtedly the most obvious choice in our selection for a family vacation in Tetouan. The Sofitel Tamuda Bay Beach & Spa Hotel has everything you could hope for when traveling with kids: direct access to M’diq Beach, expansive Mediterranean gardens where they can run around, and a real kids’ club so you can take a breather. We also really liked the little extra touch for the youngest guests: a reading area with books and comic books, perfect for quieter moments after a day at the beach or the pool.

This is our top pick for families looking for a truly luxury experience. Set on its 10-hectare estate overlooking the sea, the Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay Hotel has thought through every detail of a family stay, featuring a heated outdoor pool exclusively for children, in addition to two pools reserved for adults so you can take turns relaxing. The kids’ club and the babysitting service (for an additional fee) also let you enjoy some time together as a couple while the little ones are kept busy. We loved having direct access to both the Kabila and M’diq beaches as well as a private beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas—a real luxury when traveling with young children.

Built like a vast private riad overlooking Tamuda Bay, it offers spacious family rooms, a heated outdoor pool nestled in the gardens, and direct access to Restinga Beach through those same gardens. For quieter moments, the board games and puzzles provided are a real plus, as is the babysitting service (available for an additional fee) if you’d like to enjoy the spa in complete peace of mind.

The hotel doesn’t offer any dedicated children’s facilities or a pool, but its family rooms, large terrace, and on-site restaurant make it a simple and convenient option for a budget-friendly family beach vacation.

Why stay there with your family?
For families who want to introduce their children to the medina of Tetouan, the Riad El Reducto Hotel offers a unique cultural experience in this former 17th-century Arab palace located 200 meters from the Royal Palace. Its family rooms and babysitting service (for an additional fee) make it possible to enjoy a family vacation in this historic setting. However, there is no pool or direct access to the beach (the nearest one, in Martil, is a 20-minute drive away), and the hotel does not have parking; the nearest parking lot is a 10-minute walk away. We would recommend this hotel primarily to families with children who are already independent enough to walk through the narrow streets of the medina.
