We particularly appreciated its magnificent setting, perched on a rock that lends it a <strong>singular charm<\/strong>. We visited the region anonymously, making our own choices and paying our bills in full.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is the Plage des Oudayas worth it?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, Rabat beach is worth a visit for its pretty setting! Perched on a rocky outcrop, it offers 2.5km of inviting beach, and it&#8217;s right near the center of town! While the beach attracts the crowds in summer for swimming, it&#8217;s a great place to take a stroll in winter.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Maroc-Lovers\/Rabat\/Beaches\/Plage-Rabat-Ville\/i-JMgR8JT\/0\/KwGNtXkHmmK6Cqk4VhgJRK3ZrxsxKQvDFVJGqD4Fq\/L\/oudayas-beach-rabat-morocco-03-L.jpg\" alt=\"Oudayas Beach - panorama\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Type of beach<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sand or no sand?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ground at Plage des Oudayas is made up of granular beige sand. This type of sand is not the finest you can find, but it&#8217;s still perfectly suitable for lying down or walking on. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Maroc-Lovers\/Rabat\/Beaches\/Plage-Rabat-Ville\/i-RhhQkBj\/0\/KgSBMDpDfn2ZfLnBP6nt8nFcPB9wQcRc7GRrvGbZs\/L\/oudayas-beach-rabat-morocco-12-L.jpg\" alt=\"Plage des Oudayas - Sand or no sand?\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Swimming conditions and supervision<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plage des Oudayas is shallow, which can be an advantage for beginner swimmers. However, we have observed that the sea is often dirty, which can make the bathing experience less pleasant. Swimming shoes are not required.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The beach is not supervised, so you should be particularly careful when swimming, especially with children.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Maroc-Lovers\/Rabat\/Beaches\/Plage-Rabat-Ville\/i-wKpvv9Q\/0\/KqhxPj4NVF8KJRdgrLpMsmS3NKg3gNcr2zR57hKpL\/L\/oudayas-beach-rabat-morocco-07-L.jpg\" alt=\"Plage des Oudayas - Swimming conditions and surveillance\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installations<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We didn&#8217;t see any showers or toilets on the beach. Parking is available on site, making it easy to get to the beach by car. Take line 1 towards Hassan II and get off at the Bab El Had or Mohammed V stop. From there, walk about 15 minutes to the beach.
